We are looking for native English teachers to work at our training center in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan starting immediately. If you have the ability to teach English in a fun way, you are just the candidate we are keen to attract.


Job Description:

*Teaching English;

*You are required to teach in Children’s English Program;

*The students are aged from 5-18 years old;

*The class size is around 15-20 students per class;


Working Schedule:

*The children’s program consists of a variety of programs meaning that the schedule is more flexible, but generally speaking hours tend to be later afternoon and early evening throughout the week with Saturday morning and afternoon being particularly busy.

*Typically, a teacher at our school works between 20-24 hours per week after demonstrating sufficient competence in the classroom.

Inexperienced Teachers:

*Generally speaking, we invest a lot of time training inexperienced teachers in the first month or two. Teachers who have less than one year of teaching experience begin with about 60 hours of teaching per month. Once the teacher has demonstrated an understanding of the teaching approach and is comfortable with the teaching materials, he/she will be offered more hours.

*Training Allowance: In addition to receiving their hourly pay, inexperienced teachers are also paid a training allowance during their training. This allowance depends on the amount of training they receive.

Experienced Teachers:

*Teachers with over one year of relevant teaching experience are paid 40,000TWD for their first two months at our school. This includes a maximum of 60 hours of teaching per month and 60 hours of office / training / preparation time. After this two-month period, the teacher will be paid on an hourly basis and can expect to be offered 18-20-24 hours of teaching per week.

*Hourly Pay for Extra Classes Taught: Any hours taught over and above 60 per month will be paid extra at an hourly rate.



*Experienced teachers begin on a salary of 40,000TWD for the first two months after which they are paid at an hourly rate of 600TWD for each classroom hour taught.

*Inexperienced teachers [less than one year of relevant teaching experience] are paid at an hourly rate of NT$600 for each classroom hour taught.

*Average Monthly Income: Over the course of a year, teachers tend to teach between 20-24 hours per week, which means their average monthly income is between 48,000TWD – 57,600TWD.

*Regular Pay Raises: Teachers' receive regular pay raises based on their performance as measured by student satisfaction scores and returning student numbers.

*More experienced teachers or teachers with recognized qualifications [CELTA, TESOL, recognized TEFL courses which include a practicum] are eligible for fast track raises where they will get their first pay raise after teaching fewer hours than their less experienced counterparts.



*Work permit and ARC provided;

*Health insurance provided;

*Paid Initial Training;

*Ongoing academic support;

*UNPAID PERSONAL LEAVE: this school allows each teacher to take up to one-month of unpaid personal leave during the contract period [although not in July or August];

*8000TWD-10000TWD as yearly bonus provided after completing one year contract;


Arrival and Relocation Assistance:

*Airport Pickup: Teachers arriving in Taiwan from abroad are picked up at the airport and taken downtown to the school apartments;

*Accommodations – Newly arrived teachers can reside in the school apartments for 7 days free of charge providing them with the opportunity to find a suitable apartment. Teachers can decide to extend this stay beyond seven days by paying a daily rental fee.



*Native English speakers;

*BA degree or higher education;

*Experienced or inexperienced teachers accepted;

*TEFL/TESOL certificate preferred;

*Flexible and positive attitude;

*Professional, creative and fun personality;
